Last Night of Freedom Have Moved

Welcome to the News Page

After two years of operating from the picturesque village of Rothbury in the middle of the Northumberland wilderness Last Night of Freedom have now relocated to nearby Morpeth, an actual town with shops, restaurants and pubs......Wow

Last Night of Freedom Have Moved

The relocation has been hailed as an absolute godsend by our Newcastle based staff members who now have a 20 minute drive rather than an hour and nobody is happier than Will who has enjoyed switching his 30 minute commute for a leisurely 10 minute stroll through the park. It isnt all good though, both Matt and Steve now have to get themselves out of bed a full half an hour earlier in order to get to work on time, although no significant drop in their performance has been noted so far.

The additional space has come in handy too with the sales guys making excellent use of the new couch on their coffee breaks and Denzil enjoying his new perch on the wall from where he can make sure everything is running smoothly.

The local economy has felt the instant impact of our relocation with both Subway and Greggs reporting record takings for the first half of the month of September, Costa coffee also has had to increase its order of stupidly strong espresso beans from Columbia to deal with the increase in demand.

The move coincided with an upgrade in all of our equipment, new computers and phones were awaiting the sales team at the new office and finally after all these years we now have a fax machine, although nobody quite knows how to use it just yet, we are hoping that one of our new staff members may be trained in the art of faxing. So we should never again have power cuts, internet disconections or telephones which hang up themselves. The main focal point of the new premises however has to be the monsterously sized logo on the sales office wall as can be seen in the photo.

We have also installed two 32 inch flat screen televisons on the wall in the sales office so the guys can keep up to date with their figures or indeed simultaniously watch Trisha and This Morning, putting an end to months of scrambling for the remote.

We decided that we needed an actual meeting room in our new office, in our previous one we used the kitchen which could be annoying if Paul was making his "Woffeebix" (dont ask) for breakfast or Andy was in the process of creating one of his excellent pasta dishes. So we now have a real meeting room as seen in the picture below which is incredibly handy because our new kitchen is on a different floor and is very possibly the smallest room in the world.

There are however downsides to moving, We no longer work in the "muckle building" (very funny if you're from the North East). We also need to find a new "local" now that the Railway Inn is out of reach and of course the most pressing problem is where do we buy our sausages from, now that we are no longer conveniently located just yards from Rothbury family butchers, creator of the best sausage this side of Germany, the "Cragside Cracker". If any pubs or butchers in Morpeth would like to vie for the title of Last Night of Freedoms offical new local pub or supplier of meat based products we would love to hear from you with a short description of why you should be our new preference and any special rates which may apply, feel free to contact us.

And so after six offices in nine years each one slightly bigger than the last we feel that we have finaly found a long term home for Last Night of Freedom with plenty of currently unused space allowing us to expand and a local infrastructure able to cope with the demand for pasties and frothy bevvies.
