As we approach what is traditionaly our busiest time of year we have boosted the ranks at Last Night of Freedom with three smiley new charcters to bring some much needed intellegent conversation to the office, meet the new staff below.
Due to the fact that the number of weekends we organise has increased consistently year on year for over a decade now, we frequently need to add to our sales team and this year is no different.
We don't just employ anybody though, we stage a series of challenges and tasks where people compete in teams once a week, we give them a task and they have to try to make the most money they can in a set amount of time. At the end of each week they all gather around a table where Matt is joined by Paul and Garry, he tells them all what they've done right and wrong, in a rather blunt and unfriendly manner, before sending one of them home, the rest come back the next week and the one left at the end gets the job. What a great way to recruit people you're thinking, well it's so good were considering making a TV programme out of it and calling it "the new starter", or something like that anyway.
This year’s recruitment drive saw an unprecedented response and in the end we whittled the group of hopefuls to these three new faces. We have a great mix of characters and a good blend of hard work, comedy and facial hair, three things which we felt were previously missing from the office. Major has quickly taken to providing the soundtrack to the office, regularly combining his work with his uncanny ability of choosing just the right blend of tunes to keep us all concentrating on the task in hand.
Amy and Adam have jumped straight in at the deep end but have shown no end of metaphorical swimming ability when it comes to organising stag and hen weekends, both have blended in well and are already ranked among the top few party organisers in all of Morpeth, an accolade to be proud of.
So we enter the business part of a new year with a fully staffed office and warehouse, each and every one of us brimming with talent and outstanding in our own field of expertise, now we just need someone who can work the fax machine and we'd be sorted.
