Go back to ancient times and get ready for the ultimate chariot race. Harness racing is big business in Berlin, and is a form of racing that sees the horse typically pull a two-wheeled cart, or sulky to those in the know.
Over 150,000 spectators descend on the madcap capital each year for the unique sport – an event that has taken place in Berlin since its first official run in 1913. These exciting races are usually held in the lively city centre, on one of the most famous harness racing tracks. Surrounded by chestnut trees and boasting a whole load of stables that can hold over 800 horses on a huge amount of acres – it's a unique experience. There's plenty of opportunity to place bets at the races, and we'll sort out your admission to the big event, as well as an English-speaking guide to accompany your group.
