We know, we know - beer is great. And, if there’s any group of people going to wholeheartedly agree with us – it’s those Germans. Beer is a major part of German culture – with beers in this country being brewed only according to the Reinheitsgebot - which permits only using water, hops, and malt being used to make beers, and stipulates that beers not exclusively using barley-malt, such as wheat beer, must be top-fermented. Them’s just the rules.
So, why not take a trip to one of Hamburg’s most famous tourist hotspots – The Holsten Brewery. The company, founded in 1879, now has seven breweries to its name in Germany – and nationally distributes its delicious, thirst-quenching beers. First produced in 1953, Holsten Pilsener is a 5% pale lager, which is most famously produced here. With this activity, you’ll have an English-speaking guide accompanying you throughout your two hour guided tour. And, here’s the best part – you’ll have unlimited beers (yes, you read that right), as well as some traditional German snacks to soak it all up. Prost!
