The Icelandic terrain is a stunning wilderness of dramatic natural landscapes with soaring glaciers, towering cliff faces and vast expanses of untouched outstanding beauty. You will get to experience it all in a once in a lifetime experience, and you'll even get to have a go at some epic white water rafting.
The first stop on the famous Golden Circle is the geothermal area, Geysir, home of the original erupting 'geyser'. You'll see super-heated water burst through the ground and reach a whopping 25 metres in the air, before moving onto Gullfoss – or the 'Golden Waterfall'. This sight is truly spectacular, with water flowing 32 metres from three steps of lava and rocks. Your last stop is the UNESCO World Heritage Site, Pingvellir National Park, boasting Iceland's largest natural lake and the oldest existing parliament in the whole of the globe, founded by the Vikings more than 1,000 years ago.
We're not forgetting the rafting, taking place down the Hvita River. You'll pass gorgeous canyons as you battle the waves and rapids and can even jump from a huge cliff in the Brúarhloo canyon, straight into the bracing water.
