The water in Iceland is some of the purest and clearest in the world, and you can make the most of it with this exhilarating white water rafting activity.
Set around one hour from beautiful Reykjavik, the Hvita River is the backdrop to one of the most popular activities in Iceland. It has a stunning mix of spectacular canyons and glaciers, nestled alongside furious rapids. You'll have the opportunity to take in the finest scenery this far north – just don't get too distracted that you end up overboard (that water is damn cold) – as you pass through the magnificent Bruarhloo canyon. You can even jump from these cliffs into the glacial waters, if you so happen to get the urge.
The centre will provide everything you need, including a trained instructor to explain tips and tricks, and you'll end the trip, thawing off in a soothing sauna.
