Unlike your typical white water rafting, which involves balancing the raft in furious rapids and hard labour with paddles to avoid crashing into boulders, lazy rafting is the complete opposite.
This is a traditional activity during the balmy summer months in Riga, and will see you and your group cruise down the famous Guaja River on a circular raft. You'll be pleased to hear that you will, in fact, have oars, but the river is calm, slow and mainly waist deep – there shan't be any frantic paddling.
The river snakes through the stunning forests, as well as the cliffs of Gauja national park, and you can take it all in on your large, 12 seater oceanic lifesaving raft. You can even bring your own drinks and keep them in the middle of the raft as you cruise through Riga.
You'll also get private return transfers to the location, as well as a handy, English-speaking guide to help you get there in one piece.
