An afternoon at the races is a brilliant way for any hen group to bond, ideal for taking those unfamiliar with betting on horses and turning them into race day converts. It’s not Ascot, so don't spend a fortune on the hat. Just prepare for a blurry, slurry afternoon of people-watching, style and glamour, small losses and the very occasional win - plus frequent trips to the hospitality tent.

A day at the races is one of the most popular hen weekend events there is, a fact helped by the great atmosphere that each meeting generates. Whatever winnings there are can always go straight into the drinks kitty for that evening, whilst the experience of the afternoon will be with you long after the weekend has past the final furlong.
