A lot of both the daytime and evening fun is to be had around "the world’s best marina" (as it was crowned not long ago). The cuisine at some of its nightspots is as good as you’ll find anywhere in southern Spain and the buzz of excitement amongst the patrons is occasionally upped even further when a fully fledged star comes out to play - for example, did we say that Antonio Banderas owns one of the bars? We did? Oh good.
There is also an insomniac-friendly 24 hour party square, home to a clutch of bars and clubs of hugely varying quality, some with exceptional drinks promotions and some which merely pretend they do (but don’t).
