Hen nights in Magaluf can be breathless, riotous rollercoasters of cocktails, cowboys and… er… popcorn, mixing top name DJs (Westwood and Jules have both headlined here in recent times) and impossibly noisy bars with an international cast of the carefree and the cavalier, each out to make the absolute most of their brief time on what is arguably Britain’s favourite party island. BCM Square is a liver-slapping collection of banging boozers, featuring names like Coyote Ugly or Baywatch Bar, and will feature heavily in your gang’s nocturnal adventures. It’s an area that houses the resort’s largest nightclub, which claims to have "the world’s largest foam machine" and throws regular popcorn parties – so avoid taking your favourite slinky black dress if you don’t want to be picking bits off it for the rest of your adult life…
Punta Ballena is another concentration of comedy and debauchery - a strip of lounge bars, pubs and clubs that keeps more than a few doormen and touts in gainful employment between March and September of each year. This is a resort with the emphasis firmly on fun, so all you have to do is avoid the traditional end of July/beginning of August peak period and make sure you don’t leave the girls’ culinary and clubbing requirements to the night itself.
