The popularity of Nottingham hen nights is partly down to its sheer volume of offerings – the list of daytime options for groups is staggering, as is the number of restaurants, pubs, bars and live entertainment venues – and partly because most inns, taverns or nightclubs display common sense in handling each group of party punters simply out to have as good a time as they can in the time allowed. The door policies are sensible (on the whole), opening hours added to the degree of taxis available don’t tend to stoke the fires of trouble when combined, and prices (again, in general) don’t make you feel like you’ve been beaten up and robbed every time you get a round in. Which is nice.
