Hen Weekends in

European city of culture

Glasgow has style, class and a filthy sense of humour. The city has historical charm but remains resolutely down to earth and welcoming. This is the place to enjoy all of life’s important things – food, drink, music, comedy. You’ll be merry and laughing until the wee small hours of the morning.

Glasgow at night

The list of qualities that make Glasgow such an appealing city for any hen weekend group is lengthy.

You would have to start with the undoubtedly magical warmth and humour of its people, continue with its vibrant mix of pubs and bars, and make sure you included a mention for the parks, shops, markets, activity centres, live entertainment offerings, health clubs, cafes and nightclubs, not to mention the exciting re-development work that has firmly kicked the city into the 21st century with such a bang.

With such a vast array of things to see and places to go, it's easy to fall between two stools if you approach the planning of your Glasgow hen weekend blind. LNOF have been arranging successful hen weekends for years now, so we know what we're talking about when it comes to resources, contacts and general advice. Glasgow will come to life a lot quicker for you with the right preparation in place, and it would be a crime to let the irrepressible charms of Argyll Street pass you by. Do it right and you’ll be one of the family by the time the trip reaches its finale.

You can expect a tip-top hen weekend of closeness, laughter and full-on celebration in Glasgow, a city that might take the odd cat-nap here and there, but by and large goes without sleep. You can expect a great restaurant visit, a memorable afternoon of activity, a fleeting chance to hit the shops and a hip-shaking blur of motion in a packed and jumping club. To anticipate anything less than a smoothly-arranged, noisily-executed 48 hours of pleasure would be folly. So make sure you speak to LNOF to ensure jolly not folly.

There are so many admirable factors in favour of a hen weekend in Glasgow, not least of which its phenomenal shopping CV. If you're looking to cut back on your spending, for God’s sake dont take that spare credit card with you on this weekend! As well as the eclectic volume of retail outlets, Glasgow has culture and innovation coming out of its nostrils - after all, it was "European City of Culture" in 1990, so for those who thought of "Rab C Nesbitt" at the mention of its name, get yourself down Sauchihall Street for a dose of what Glasgow is really all about. Ye ken?

“We had booked the can can dance lesson for my sister's hen. Good craic and everyone enjoyed.”

“12 of us girls booked the Thriller Dance Class. Was sooo good, everyone loved it. Even the oldies. All pictures and footage of the day and class on everyones facebook. Everyone very impressed, cant reccomend the experience highly enough.”

I really enjoyed my hen weekend, although i was a little disappointed with our spa day. There was no Jacuzzi and wasn’t the most glamorous of Spas. Apart from that, we had a good weekend, hotel was really nice and the people were as well. ”

“We only attended a recording studio but it was all very well organised and we all had an absolutely fab time!”

Had an absolutely great time at the Recording Studio, all the girls seemed to enjoy it. The Boogie Bus was a great way to get around from A - B and the Cabin Crew were very good with a crowd of rowdy hens. All in all a great day & night.”

“I used Last Night of Freedom to book a cocktail master class for my best friend's hen party. It was really well prepared and the staff we had teaching us at the bar were extremely fun and friendly.

It was a great option for our group as we had a range of ages from 19 to mid-sixties. Everyone had a really great afternoon, although I would recommend allowing at least 3 hours for the activity rather than the suggested 90 minutes as we were given food and cocktails afterwards and had to move our dinner reservations back a couple of hours- and even then could have easily spent longer at the bar. The hen loved it and over all it was a great option for the afternoon!”

The spa day was a good way to relax however I would have liked to know that I could have booked a lunch for the group who attended the spa day.”

14 girls took part in the cancan dancing activity. It was an extremely enjoyable sessions, everyone really enjoyed themselves and would definitely recommend it to other hen going to Glasgow. The instructor was brilliant, lot's of enthusiasm and really got involved with the group! All was very good! ”

The Salsa dancing & Buffet were amazing! We had such fun and the instructors were really talented. The venue was great, a real dance school, which was extremely modern. We didn't have to use a taxi all weekend as everything was central. The buffet was fantastic, plenty of it, hot and well served. ”

Was a fantastic weekend. 22 mad girls from Dublin took to the streets of glasgow for Lisa's Last Night of Freedom. And you really made it 1 to remember. ”

“I had a good weekend in Glasgow due to the people we were with wouldnt really recommened the party bus”

“A group off 22 of us (various ages) headed off to Glasgow for my hen weekend and had an absolute ball!

We stayed in a great hotel which was lovely, rooms spotless, nice breakfast, good location, only complaint was the corridors smelt of cigarettes. The restaurant on day 2 was full of hens, good relaxed atmosphere and food was suprisingly nice, everyone was happy :-)

The party bus was really good craic would highly recommend it especially if there is a big group an easy way to stick together. The pubs were good fun except for the 3rd one which was dodgy. Nightclub was perfect, just what you need on a girly night out, all in all we were very happy with the package and would recommend booking with Last Night of Freedom. Thanks a mil Lisa ”

Excellent place to have a hen weekend the restaurant was a top choice, excellent food. excellent service and exellent drinking!”

We had a good time at the cocktail masterclass, the Bar staff were fabulous and it was in the centre of town. We also got some nibbles that we were not expecting, which was a nice gesture. ”

We had a great party on a bus tour in Glasgow we had a fantastic time and the guides were fab.”

Friday night was excellent ..the fire engine ride and the 80s nightclub everyone had a great night.

Saturday night was not up to our tiger tiger for a meal..had to wait ages for a round of drinks to come and for food to arrive. service was totally crap and was offered complimentary cocktails.

Hotel was apart from the meal on sat night all had a very good time...”

The dog racing was fantastic, every hen enjoyed it and needless to say there were a few wins which kept the drink flowing! ”
