Travelling to Belfast

In Northern Ireland’s North-Eastern corner is its capital, Belfast, reachable by both air and ferry from mainland UK, as well as by road, rail and air from the south and the Republic.

By train, its takes 6hrs from Cork (with 2 changes), 2hrs 10mins from Dublin and from 8hrs 15mins from Galway (with 2 changes).
Take the N1/A1 route from Dublin if you’re driving to Belfast, or the N16 to A4 to M1 route from Sligo or Enniskillen, or the N6/N55/N54/N12/A3 combination of roads if you’re travelling from the South-West, such as Galway or Limerick.
Belfast’s two airports are George Best Belfast City (BHD) and Belfast International (BFS).
