Chester is right on the Welsh border in the North-West of the UK and is reachable by road or rail from most major UK cities. Its closest main airports are Manchester and Liverpool.

By train, a journey from London takes 2hrs, from Glasgow it’ss 4hrs (with 1 change) and from Birmingham it takes 1hr 45mins.
By road, take the A41 after the M6 from Birmingham. If you’re coming from either the North or East, take the M62 and, eventually, the M56. Remember that the M62 is notorious for tailbacks and slow moving traffic at times.
If flying, Manchester International (MAN) is only 1hr 30mins away by rail link (with 1 change), whilst Liverpool’s John Lennon Airport (LPL) is only 40mins away by train.
