Travelling to Liverpool

Sitting at the heart of Merseyside and on the North-Western tip of England sits one of the UK’s biggest and most famous cities, Liverpool. It’s a busy destination, and is linked by rail, road and ferry routes, as well as having John Lennon International Airport on its doorstep.

By train, a journey from London is 2hrs 30mins, from Glasgow it’s 3hrs 45mins (with 1 change), and from Birmingham this is 1hr 40mins.
By road, the M6 and M62 both take you into Merseyside. The M6 goes both North and South of Liverpool and the M62 is crossed by both the M1 (from the South) and the A1 (from the North). Remember to allow for possible delays if you’re using the infamously stop-start M62!
Liverpool’s John Lennon Airport (LPL) has scheduled flights to and from most of the main UK, Irish and European airports.
By ferry, you can get there via both Belfast and Dublin, as well as from the Isle of Man.
