Torquay is a gorgeous coastal gem in the South-West of England, in the county of Devon. It is connectable by rail, road and air - the nearest airports being Exeter and Plymouth - though you need to plan for longer travelling times if you’re driving, or coming by rail, from the North.

By train, a journey from Birmingham takes 3hrs 10mins, from London it would be 2hrs 45mins (with 1 change), from Glasgow it’s 7hrs (with 1 change) and from Manchester it’s 5hrs (with 1 change).
If you’re driving, the three roads that take you into Exeter nearby are the M5, the A303 and the A30 (these last two merge late on). From Exeter, take the A380.
For those wishing to fly, Torquay is a similar distance from both Exeter (EXT) and Plymouth (PLH) with many airlines flying into these airports from various UK and Irish locations.
