Without doubt one of eastern Europe’s friendliest, smartest and coolest cities, the dreamy Slovakian capital packs as mean a stag night punch as its national drink does (the deceptively "easy-going" Borovitschka). Their largely-pedestrianised city centre – Gothically picturesque enough to give Prague a run for its money – is home to a series of wonderfully vibrant and welcoming bars and pubs, many of which have a packed dancefloor from 11pm onwards, mixing the coolest sounds with the cheeriest clientele.

It would be easy to underestimate the modernity and influence of youth in a location which only returned to its status as a capital city following the so-called “Velvet divorce” of Slovakia from the Czech Republic in the early 90s, but there are enough gorgeous restaurants, stylish threads, funky clubs and lung-busting party attitudes to put you in no doubts as to how adorable and special a place this is. Last Night of Freedom have been over there, and of course we took a few photos, so even if you simply wish to find out where to eat or boogie during your own forthcoming venture, we’d advise that you bent our ear a touch before you head off there. A stag night in Bratislava leaves you in one of the most beautiful locations there is, yet, as with all cities, you need a modicum of planning to bring everything together. Vote Slovak.

As much as any youth-lead emerging capital city in Eastern Europe at the moment, Last Night of Freedom implore all who go to Bratislava to leave it as they found it! Your hosts will be the most charming, the most beautiful and the most positive souls you can imagine – so let’s reward them for that and wholeheartedly embrace their unique brand of partying. It’s not a city where you should ever feel threatened or excluded, whilst the boys are going to buy you drinks all night to thank you for getting them there.

Slovakians are proud, warm and passionate people, and their women are just about the best looking there are. As they put in a shift by day, so they make sure of squeezing the bottle dry when the sun goes down. We advise you to loosely plot your Bratislava stag night before you arrive so as to be in full-on smug mode when you return to these shores and have that boring loser from the office unsuccessfully attempt to urinate on your Bratislava bonfire.
