Though stag weekends in the Algarve are hardly remembered for the quality of the cuisine, it’s worth noting how magnificent one or two of the local specialities are in Albufeira. The best that we experienced were the steamed shellfish (cataplana) and the fish stew (caldeirada), though if you simply like your pasta dishes delicious and filling then you can fill your boots on those too.
