By train, a direct service from London takes 2hrs. From Glasgow, this takes 4hrs (with 1 change) and from Birmingham the direct service takes 1hr 45mins.
If you’re driving to Chester, take the A41 once you’ve left the M6 from Birmingham. If you’re coming from either the North or Eastern part of the mainland, head for the M62 and, eventually, the M56.
