How To Get To Dublin

Travelling to Dublin

It’s the capital of Ireland, and perhaps of stag nights in general. Dublin, on the Eastern tip of the Republic, boasts one of the busiest airports in Europe (DUB), which means lots of opportunities to fly for those in England, Wales and Scotland, though it also has plenty of rail and road links for any groups looking to come from within Ireland or the North.

  • By train, you can get to Dublin from Cork in 2hrs 40mins, from Belfast in 2hrs 10mins, from Galway in 2hrs 40mins, and from Waterford in 2hrs 30mins.
  • By road, the main motorways leading into Dublin are the N11 (Wexford/Waterford), N7 (Limerick/Cork), N6 (Athlone/Galway), N3 (Enniskillen) and the N1 (Belfast).
  • By air, amongst the huge volume of daily traffic is from Newcastle, Stansted, Liverpool and Edinburgh.
