Travelling to Glasgow

West of Edinburgh, Glasgow is Scotland’s other major city and easily reached by all manner of road, rail and air options.

By train, London to Glasgow takes around 4hrs 45mins, from Birmingham it takes 4hrs 10mins, and from Cardiff it takes 6hrs 30mins (with 1 change).
If you decide to drive to Glasgow, either take the M6 to M74 route from the West side of the UK or the M1 to A1 link all the way up the East coast and onto the M8 from Edinburgh.
Glasgow Airport (GLA) has flights to and from most of the major UK, Ireland and European cities, as does the city’s other major airport, Prestwick (PIK).
