Travelling to Liverpool

Liverpool is one of the UK’s biggest cities, sitting in the heart of Merseyside on the North-Western tip of England and just above Wales. It is a busy location, linked by rail, road and ferry routes, as well as being home to John Lennon International Airport.

By train, a direct journey from London takes 2hrs 30mins, from Glasgow it takes 3hrs 45mins (including 1 change), and from Birmingham the time would be 1hr 40mins.
By road, the M6 and M62 are the two major roads taking you into Merseyside. The M6 runs both North and South of the city whilst the M62 is crossed by both the M1 (from the South) and the A1 (from the North).
Liverpool’s John Lennon Airport (LPL) has scheduled flights to and from many of the main UK, Irish and European locations.
By ferry, you can get to Liverpool from both Belfast and Dublin, as well as the Isle of Man.
