Set in a historic, former fabric warehouse, your Irish whiskey never tasted so good...
When visiting the notorious jewel in the crown of The Emerald Isle, it would be a crime not to partake in a spot of spirit drinking – namely, the delicious, fermented grain mash, whiskey.
Where your Irish whiskey tasting session is held is quite something to behold – steeped in Dublin’s murky past, The Rag Trader was once a fabric warehouse, and has recently been transformed into an intimate bar which takes you on a cultural and historical trip back in time. As soon as you set foot in the authentic bar, you’ll have an insight into the rag trade era – a time when much of Ireland’s economy was based within the textile and fabric industry.
During the session, you will taste five renowned Irish Whiskeys, under the watchful eye of a whiskey monsieur, including single-malt, single-grain, single-pot and blended – and will learn all about the in-depth history of the different varieties in an engaging, informative lesson.
