If you’re coming to Newcastle, and you love your beer, we reckon you’ll need this activity on the agenda. You and your group will head to Newcastle’s iconic Bealim House, home to the city’s only still used distillery, and will have reserved tables waiting for you. The former printworks is a cosy, rustic bar-come-restaurant, where you’ll also have a delicious selection of tapas bites available to soak up some of that booze. You’ll get your hands on a self-serve beer keg, which can hold your choice of Birra Moretti or Maltsmiths IPA. The keg holds approximately 54 pints, which should be enough to get you nice and merry, prepped for a massive night on The Toon.
As your host venue is just a stone’s throw away from NUFC’s home ground, St. James’ Park, you can even reserve your area and keg before the match and have a few pints, take the two minute stumble to the ground for the game, then head over after to polish off that keg in style. Queues in Bealim House, especially on match days, can get pretty manic - so having your own keg will help you dodge those queues. Bonus.
