Do summer the right way on your stag do, and celebrate with a Great British pastime: watching the cricket with a pint. What better way to celebrate a stag weekend than chilling in the sun with your mates and some cold beers? The NatWest T20 Blast at Durham County Cricket Club is the rockstar of the cricket world, with its party atmosphere, plenty of ridiculous fancy dress, and its short matches (relatively speaking, it is cricket after all), so it’s the ideal way to get you guys in the mood before hitting the Toon.
Durham's explosive batsman and all-round nice chap, Phil ‘Colonel’ Mustard, dropped by LNOF HQ the other day for a chat and a spot of cricket. He even gave us a rather nice bat but, unfortunately, some bloody vandals have scrawled all over it, so we’ll be sending it back.
Apparently the whole team had a hand in vandalizing our precious bat
We had a quick chat about the upcoming T20 Blast, the team and the shiny new floodlights at the ground and he seemed very excited by the whole thing:
'It’s fantastic that Last Night of Freedom will be offering nights at the Emirates Durham International Cricket Ground, to watch the Durham Jets in action. It’s a great venue for Stag and Hen Weekends to come and enjoy exciting NatWest T20 Blast cricket as well as making use of the bars around the ground.'
Colonel Mustard and The Slips (shotgun that band name)
'Now that the go ahead for the floodlights to be installed has been given, there’s nothing better than watching a cricket match on a warm summers evening under the lights.'
Now if that doesn’t tempt you then nothing will. So get yourself all dressed up in the stupidest costume you can find (Hint: You'll probably find what you're looking for here), get some beers in and head on over to Durham for a great summer of cricket.
