Stags are synonymous with Scotland, so what better place to celebrate your last night of freedom than the Scottish capital of Edinburgh? This historic city is home to some amazing pubs and activities. Make sure you’ve got your kegs on under your kilt, a night out celebrating with the Scots could get messy.
Edinburgh is a stag’s playground. You can drink in historical pubs on the famous Royal Mile or hit the super cool bars and clubs that you’ll find in the New Town, a large modern area just up from the station. We’ve broken the nightlife down into areas to give you an idea of where you might end up sinking a whisky.

Southside is popular with students and has loads of fun bars for stags to sink a pint or two. The Dog House is a great place to kick off any night out in this vibrant part of the city, with quirky décor and a range of drinks to choose from, it’s sure to get you in the mood for a night of celebrating your last night of freedom.
Haymarket
Located to the west of the city, you’ll find Haymarket, which is home to loads of traditional Scottish pubs and bars. Head to Dalry Road and try out Ryrie’s bar, where you can enjoy haggis, neeps and tatties, closely followed by a dram of whiskey.
Start with your dates, guests and nights and then add activities and hotels.

Being a capital city, it's worth being mindful when it comes to safety. To ensure your group remember your Edinburgh trip for all the right reasons we've compiled six simple safety tips for stags in Edinburgh:
Don't let any of your mates go off on their own
Make sure everyone has your address accommodation (including any pass codes you may need)
With lots alcohol flowing you could run into groups who try and pick a fight. Try not to engage with any other groups who may want to start a conflict
Keep to the main areas of Edinburgh rather than straying into unfamiliar neighbourhoods that may be unsafe
Make sure you are vigilant of pickpockets and don't put your valuables anywhere thieves can easily access them
Make a group chat so you've all got easy contact with each other
By following these simple tips we're sure your stag do to Edinburgh will be a bobby dazzler.
