All good things start at Revolution. The undisputed Queen of the Cocktails on Nottingham’s mean streets, Revolution is the heart of the city’s nightlife – boasting two massive venues. One of the swanky bars is set in the hipster Hockley area, and another in the legendary Old Market Square (of Robin Hood fame, we’ll have you know). The cocktails are experimental, testing the boundaries of booze at all times; featuring the likes of Tatto-ti Fruity, served with your new body art, Double Dutch Kettle – in a copper kettle, of course – and The Atomic Bongo, with popping candy. We’ll arrange your delicious two course meal, and reserved tables, and you can soak up (literally) all the delights of Revs on your huge hen weekend.
Private Party Bus
A party bus is the only way to travel in style. It’s, simply, unheard of for hen groups to get from A to B without lights, music and bubbly. This motorised madcap club on wheels has all of that in spades, as well as 10 bottles of champagne to get through before the next bar. As if that isn’t enough, you can also bring your own drinks aboard and show Nottingham just how you do it on this legendary bus. Need we say more…?
Slug and Lettuce
The Slug and Lettuce is one of those classics on a hen weekend. This fantastic chain of bars, with popular venues up and down the country, is sleek and modern, with an extensive food and drink menu featuring several pages of mouthwatering cocktails and the famous bombs. Try if you dare… This gorgeous bar is set right in The Cornerhouse, Nottingham’s resident entertainment complex and packed full of bars, restaurants, a cinema, a massive nightclub, a casino and even two indoor adventure golf courses. It’s also a couple of minutes’ from the lively Old Market Square, home to the city’s best inns, and we’ll get you right through the door in front of everyone else.
Prepare for entry to the mighty Pryzm, Nottingham’s biggest and best club. This megaclub wholly deserves that title, and is a landmark in the city – standing tall since 1925. You’ve got a whopping six rooms to choose from; the Main Floor is the most popular destination and home of commercial music, but the Parisian Boudoir specialises in delicious martinis. There’s also Curve, an R&B, soul and funk room, the sunnier climes of Lua LaLai Tiki Bar and the German feast at the cool Bavarian Bier Bar. We’ll get you straight past the velvet rope and to the bar to celebrate until the early hours.
After all of that partying, you’ll need sleep. And fast. We’ve got the fantastic Jurys Inn, just five minutes from the train station and tramway. It’s also a 15 minute stroll to the Old Market, and adjoining Lace Market – the city’s hub of nightlife and a legendary night out. The hotel is comfortable, cosy and spacious – plenty of opportunity to get ready in peace – with modern rooms and even an on-site Costa Coffee for an emergency cuppa the next day.
