Top Ten

Over the last 20 years, we’ve organised 25,000 unforgettable stag and hen weekends across 70 different locations, so it’s safe to say we know what we’re talking about when it comes to organising stag dos. As we welcome a new decade, let’s take a look at the 10 most popular locations where stags are choosing to celebrate their Last Night of Freedom.

The Tyne bridge lit up at night with lights from the Sage and Millennium Bridge reflecting on the River Tyne

Long live the Toon! Newcastle is the reigning champion and we couldn’t be prouder. Every year we organise thousands of stag weekends in this North East gem. We know we’re biased, but our hometown is one of the best nights out around. Check out our Newcastle Guide to see why it has pipped the competition to the post.

2.

Prague

The famous Charles bridge is illuminated at night by the lit up cityscape behind

After a brief period in the top spot, Prague has slipped to the commendable second position on our list. The Eastern European classic has been a stalwart with stag dos for many years and it’s easy to see why. No other place can singularly boast the number shooting packages and strip clubs as this medieval city. Don’t believe us? Check out our guide to the city for yourself.

3.

Dublin

The Temple Bar in Dublin at night

A non-mover two years in a row now, Dublin continues to be a firm favourite for stag and hens alike. With attractions including the Guinness Factory and Jameson whiskey, you’re guaranteed a boozy Last Night of Freedom on the Emerald Isle. Our Ultimate Dublin Stag Do Guide will walk you through all the best things to do and places to stay - we recommend the Belvedere Hotel.

4.

Budapest

The Szechenyi Bridge crossing the Danube River at night with the Buda Castle in the background on the hill

It should come as no shock that Budapest is another non-mover at number four. This beautiful city is known for its crazy cheap drink, awesome clubs and having loads of fun stuff to do, it's also easy to get to, just check our Flight Finder. There’s something for everyone in the Hungarian capital, from shooting Kalashnikovs to the Szechenyi Thermal Baths. Our guide has all the places to stay and things to do for the Buda-best weekend of your life.

5.

Krakow

A view of a traditional Krakow street with beautiful Eastern European architecture.

This Eastern European favourite should be a staple on any stag location list. Boasting beautiful women, cheap drink and plenty to do, Krakow has it all. Get in on the action as soon as you touch down with the strip hummer transfer before making your way around some of the best nightlife that Eastern Europe has to offer. Poland is famous for its vodka, so be sure to try out a vodka tasting session.

6.

Liverpool

A view of the famous Liver building from across the water

They may have a better football team, but Liverpool has failed to knock Newcastle from the top spot, coming in sixth. We’re pleased to see the Scouse capital making a comeback, having climbed one place since its re-entry into the top 10 last year. This fun and vibrant city has a lot to offer any stag do looking for a good time, with some great places to stay – we recommend Picturehouse Apartments.

7.

Benidorm

A view of the sun soaked Benidorm beach and famous skyscrapers

Donald and Jaqueline would be proud, not only is Benidorm reappearing in our top 10 for a second year running, but it has also climbed two places. This Costa Blanca cliché has enjoyed something of a revival in recent years and it’s clear to see why. With a stag do in Benidorm, you know exactly what you’re getting, sun, cheap beer and crowds of fellow stags celebrating their last nights of freedom. Check out our Benidorm stag packages for all the best deals.

8.

Hamburg

A picture of the Hamburg canal with traditional German architecture lit up around it.

Last year we predicted big thigs from the German port city of Hamburg and we were not disappointed. Keeping strong in the top 10, Hamburg has proven to be a popular choice with our stags. Easy to get to and with a whole load of things to do, such as beer bikes and strip club entry, this is one city that has a lot to offer. Check out our Ultimate Hamburg Stag Do Guide to find out more.

9.

Barcelona

A view across Barcelona’s famous colourful buildings

Barcelona is the perfect destination for party loving stags. There's plenty of things to do with some of the liveliest clubs in Spain, oh, the weather isn’t too bad either. We would definitely recommend the BBQ boat party and beer bike, which is a great way to see some of the famous architecture (cultured eh?) as well as getting a few beers.

10.

Amsterdam

A view of one of the traditional bridges, lit up at nights with the light reflecting off the river Amstel.

Coming in at number 10 is the stag do classic of Amsterdam. We all know about the red light district and those infamous coffee shops, but our guide to Amsterdam provides suggestions for all sorts of things to do, with options to suit everyone from the best man to the father-in-law. We particularly love ‘Carsmash’ where you, er, literally smash up an old car with a big hammer. There's also loads of great places to stay, take a look at our range of accommodation to find out more.

If you’re looking for the ideal destination to host your stag do, why not take a look through our top 10 best sellers, and if there’s nothing that tickles your fancy, have a gander at our other 69 locations. And, if there’s still nothing you’re up for, we suggest you take a long, hard look at yourself.
