If you’re feeling brave enough, you can always try white water rafting through one of Reykjavik’s many natural rivers, or spend a relaxing afternoon whale watching out on the Faxafloi Bay, seeing if you can spot some of the countries famous Minke and Humpback whales. If all of this is starting to sound a little chilly, there’s plenty of chances for you to warm up on the hot spring hunt, as you and your group spend the day hiking through the stunning valleys seeking out natural geothermic pools, where you get to relax in naturally hot water – think outdoor hot tubs of the natural variety.
