Latvian people are vibrant, proud and passionate, their nightlife exceptional and varied, their women outrageously attractive and their city a perfect blend of Old Town history and modern independence.

The architecture and local women are exquisite, whilst the cuisine is cheap, filling and delicious. We enjoyed checking out all of these things on Matts stag weekend in Riga and are highly confident that you'll feel the same. The choices of organised events and activities through the day and early evening – be it a stripper-lead banquet, a 70 km per hour bobsleigh run or a spot of Kalashnikov weaponry – are outstanding, which allows for you to strike just the right balance of boozing and bonding in a city that, though bigger than its Baltic counterparts, still retains a very personal and compact feel.
Accommodation, cuisine and shopping options tick all the right boxes, whilst the character that seeps out of every inn, tavern, bar and club gives you the full Riga flavour - as is the case with national drinks like the black Balsam. Whatever you do though, don't underestimate how much the locals can quaff their spirits (without it seeming to affect them one iota).
