Founder, Last Night of Freedom
Matt Mavir founded Last Night of Freedom in 1999 whilst studying Business Studies at Manchester Metropolitan University. He launched the website from his student bedroom. In the first eight months, he'd made £23.
Fast forward 25 years and Last Night of Freedom has since grown into one of Britain's biggest stag and hen party providers, having organised over 50,000 trips to Britain and beyond.
Currently, Last Night of Freedom offers stag and hen trips to over 60 destinations across the globe, from Newcastle to the North Pole. The Gateshead-based firm now employs around 30 staff, with over 200 years combined industry experience between them.
Over the years, Matt has become one of the stag and hen industry's leading voices due to his wealth of experience, including his expertise in financial and package travel regulations. He has been featured on the BBC, Forbes, CNN, The Sunday Times and The Sun (in which he proudly posed with a penis pinata).
Matt has also worked with the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office as a stag and hen industry adviser to the British government.
Last Night of Freedom have forged a network of business links with popular brands such as Geordie Shore, Lane 7, and the Newcastle Falcons.
A member of the Entrepreneurs' Forum, Matt is a respected business figure in the North East and a trusted, authoritative voice across the entire travel sector.
