Glide up the giant Brighton i360, set 450ft high in the clouds, and get breath-taking, 360 degree views of up to 26 miles around you - across Brighton, the South Downs and, on the clearest of days, all the way to the Isle of Wight and Beachy Head.
The high-tech i360, conceived and created by Marks Barfield Architects – the creators of the London Eye – cost £46 million to build, but boy, was it worth it. The glass capsule is massive and aerodynamically shaped – it's, actually, 10 times the size of a pod on the London Eye – and it has room for up to 175 visitors, so you'll be able to see the town from every angle. And, you'll be pleased to hear that it doesn’t spin, but glides slowly up the pole to give you the very best views.
But, we haven't even mentioned the best bit – there is a bar in the pod, licensed to serve all day and during the evening. You'll get a drinks voucher to get you started. Drinks with a view… perfect.
