If you haven’t heard of bubble football, where have you been for the past few years? It’s the hilarious, action-packed activity that’s got everyone talking, and is gaining more and more popularity as the years (literally) roll on.
The sport, which was originally created in Norway by Henrik Elvestad and Johan Golden for their TV show, Golden Goal, has fast become one of our most loved and most popular activities. The unique sport is a cross between football, zorbing and dodgems – as you can imagine, it’s mayhem.
When taking part in bubble football, you and your group will be strapped into lightweight, transparent, inflated zorbs which cover your upper body and head, turning you into a massive, running bubble. When you’re all comfortably and securely strapped in, you’ll take part in a warm up, just to get used to your zorbs and discover what they’re capable of. By this, we definitely mean that you’ll realise how far you can fling your mates into the distance after running full pelt into them. Once you know what you’re doing, you’ll attempt to play a game of football, with varying levels of success… If you’re known to your mates as the ‘fun police’, you’ll be pleased to find out that you’ll be under the watchful eye of a trained instructor throughout, who will also double up to ref your game.
