Which Types of Accommodation are Available in Galway?

If a prime location is at the top of your list, look no further than the Kinlay House Hostel Galway. This 3-star hostel is cool and modern, with breakfast provided so that you don’t need to wander too far to soothe those next-day hangovers. Right in the heart of the city centre, you’re surrounded by hundreds of incredible bars and restaurants, there’s no excuses not to make the most of every night that you’re there, and you’re even right beside the local shopping centre, so you and the girls can indulge in some well-deserved retail therapy. For a little more luxury without breaking the bank, The Connacht Hotel is the perfect choice. It provides you with everything you’d expect from a luxury hotel, but with the added bonus of a 3-star price tag. You can unwind in their on-site spa and do a couple of laps of the indoor pool before you head out for the day, and with a bar and restaurant right downstairs there’s nothing to stop you getting your night started in style before hitting the town. You’re less than a 30 minutes’ walk into the city centre, but if you don’t feel like making the trek, there’s plenty of public transport links right outside your front door.

You have the added bonus of being set back from the city so it’s beautiful and peaceful, perfect for catching up on some sleep after a heavy night. Will We Need Taxis into the Centre?

We do our very best to ensure that all of our accommodation is located close to the city to cut down on the amount of time you have to spend travelling. Almost all of our Galway accommodation is centrally located, however hotels such as The Connacht Hotel and the Maldron Hotel Sandy Road are a little further afield. Don’t fret, though; if you’ve got your heart set on one of these, they’re both no more than 30 minutes’ walk away from the centre, and a taxi can have you there in around 10 minutes meaning you don’t need to compromise on your night out.

Are We Guaranteed Availability?

Absolutely – we’ve reserved room allocations in every accommodation that we offer, including all eight of our Galway locations, so you don’t need to miss out on your dream hotel. It can get busier some weekends, such as during the Galway International Arts Festival during July, so we recommend booking further in advance if you had your eye on that month. Don’t worry, though – one of our staff will always double check for you to make sure that your weekend doesn’t clash with any major events, so you can get on with planning the rest of it.
