LNOF Guide to Barcelona
Undeniably one of Europe’s most lusted over cities. It has dynamic culture, gorgeous beaches and vibrant nightlife.
The centrally located main tourist strip, La Rambla, has a real lively buzz every day of the week, all year round. With street entertainers, weekly markets, artists, acrobats, dancers, cafes, bars and restaurants, there’s sure to be something for everyone. Barcelona’s nightlife is also famously vibrant; from the bustling Port Olympic district, overflowing with lively late night clubs – to the famous, atmospheric Gothic Quarter, the maze of dynamic streets that tend to draw a more sophisticated crowd.
Now, call us presumptuous, but we’re guessing you girls are partial to a little retail therapy and Barcelona is certain not to disappoint. With multiple designer shops (Burberry, Chanel and Armani to name but a few), and many fantastic shopping centres throughout the city, you’ll be spoilt for choice on places to splash the hen weekend kitty.
This cosmopolitan metropolis of a city is peppered with iconic landmarks and attractions to visit on your hen do, including; Gaudi’s ‘unfinished masterpiece’ the Sagrada Familia, Barcelona Cathedral, Sant Josep market, Parc Guell, the Picasso Museum, Columbus’ Column, Port Vell, Montjuic Palace, Barcelona’s football stadium Nou Camp and the Arc de Triomf.
The Spanish are also renowned for eating late, and partying well into the next morning (thank the Lord for siestas). So, after a spot of traditional tapas and a few glasses of Sangria or cava, you and the girls can head out for a wild fiesta at world renowned clubs such as Opium, La Terrrazza, Ocaña, Razzmatazz. Then, kick that hangover in style, with a stroll along the sun-kissed beach - to rest and recoup after an unforgettable last night of freedom.
