If you want to go somewhere glamorous and sunny, with the most romantic scenery you ever did see, then Porto is a strong contender for your hen. Set on the Douro River, here you are treat to stunning riverside views as well as quaint cobblestone alleys that are full of classy wine bars, boutique shops, cool street art and marvellous architecture. This place is magical, there’s beauty literally everywhere you look.
This place might be stunning to look at, but it also packs a punch when it comes to the nightlife it offers. Get ready for relaxed evenings sipping Port in rooftop bars, or if you want to party hard, you can head to one of the city’s epic and super instagrammable clubs such as Plano B – a nightclub that’s open till 6am. You’ll want to hit up the bar lined Rua da Galeria de Paris too which is chocka with bars that have outdoor seating, so you can get the best of the sunshine as well as drinking. It’s very common to visit here and to hop from bar to bar.
With the city being set right upon a gorgeous river, that has lots of iconic bridges, there are lots of water related activities you can do such as renting a catamaran or going on a public boat party, which means you get to sightsee, but you’re not missing out on any party time. Getting to see Porto from the water will make you appreciate how truly beautiful it is.
There's nowhere quite like Porto. Personally I prefer it to Lisbon because it's charming, chilled out and they have the best pastel de natas here! When I went we spent half the time hanging around in riverside cafes and bars - it was lush.

Porto is famous for its port wine meaning a popular thing you can do here is wine tasting. We offer a couple of different wine tasting activities. We’re sure that you’ll love trying delicious local wines. This isn’t to mention the food. Portuguese cuisine really is something else with spicy flavours and vibrant colours. Being near the sea, the seafood is definitely worth writing home about.
It’s also highly recommended you check out Porto’s amazing bridges which connect Porto and Gaia, these are iconic and make a great background for your hen party pics. The beach is a 30-minute taxi ride away, so you can spend some of the time sunbathing at the absolutely gorgeous Praia do Molhe beach should you fancy. Whether you want to have a chilled classy time drinking cocktails or you want to be out till the early hours of the morning, Porto can deliver.
