This is exactly what you’d expect; leather seating, a relaxing fire, dark wood shelves lined with books, a grand piano, plush white leather booths and, the best bit, a glass bar. Walk through The Library, and you’ll meet the beating heart of the hotel. The Sky Bar is mesmerising, with the New York skyline plastered across one long huge wall, and even a bar that lights up to resemble a golden sky.
Walk even further through the venue (this place is huge) and this is where you will meet Shanghai. This brings the ‘pulsating energy of China right to the streets of Edinburgh’. There are murals on the wall, white leather booths, intricate detailing on the bar and an extensive drinks list. Upstairs, Dirty Martini stands proud as the host of the Scottish Jazz Awards and Scottish Vocal Jazz Festival. This sophisticated, late-night venue for live music, entertainment and events is contemporary and elegant. It also has an atmospheric candle-lit lounge, and a large and vibrant must-see bar.
