3. The Beehive Inn

The Beehive Inn is a chic, laid back pub, popular with tourists visiting the area. It boasts over 25 gins as well as an extensive wine menu for thirsty hens, who can enjoy their tipples in the comfortable, squishy armchairs by the fire. This traditional pub is also privy to some historic characters, including Mr Scotland himself, Robert Burns!

4. The Last Drop

Sporting a dark history, this pub used to be next to the city’s main gallows (explaining the name of it) and was rumoured to be where men, who were sentenced to death, went for their last meal. Today, this fab pub, that’s situated in a charming historical building, has a very warm atmosphere and makes a great stop off on your bar crawl. If you’re a whiskey fan, then you’ll be pleased to hear they have an extensive whiskey range from smoky, to fruity, to spicy! They also pride themselves on their perfectly poured cask ales. With these gorgeous tipples, we’re sure you’ll savour every drop.

Bringing a slice of Ireland into Scotland, Biddy Mulligans is known for hearty food and real Irish ale. This is the place to go for some great craic! It’s open 7 days a week and hosts live music gigs with local bands every night. They have over 25 Irish whiskeys. You can get big plates of food and also small plates such as sausage rolls and scotch eggs, if all that stumbling about has made you peckish. This is a great pub to end your night in for a drunken dance to the great live entertainment. Never mind top of the morning, this will be top of the night!
