LNOF turns 25!

We thought we’d celebrate our 25th birthday by throwing one heck of a party.

Quarter of a Century

50,000 Stag and Hen Parties

If Last Night of Freedom was a marriage, we’d be celebrating our silver wedding anniversary. However, we all know that gold is more apt, with the high standard that we hold ourselves to and provide our customers with.

Over the last twenty-five years we have organised over 50,000 stag and hen parties creating unforgettable memories for those who choose to book through us. The company has come a long way from when our MD Matt used to run the company from his student house share. We thought it was only right to throw a mega celebration, after all, throwing parties is literally what we do.

The Party to end all Parties

Guests Travelled From Far and Wide

This huge celebration, which kicked off at the super cute bar No.28, saw us inviting our suppliers that came from all over the globe from Czech Republic, to the Netherlands, to Slovakia. Obviously, all of the current staff were in attendance, as well as some of the staff who used to work at Last Night of Freedom. Some friends and family were in attendance too. It was a big melting pot of hundreds of people that have some link to Last Night of Freedom.

Dressed to Impress

A Buzzing Atmosphere

No. 28 was done up to the nines, as were the guests in attendance who all looked fabulous as you can see in the pictures. We had a Happy Birthday Last Night of Freedom board that loads of our suppliers, staff and ex staff signed; it’ll be worth millions in a few years, just you watch. There was a brilliant slideshow, collated by our designer Beth, of all the best photos from the last twenty-five years (including a concerning number of gimp suits). There was a caricaturist floating about drawing various people. The night had magic in the air… literally… there was a magician.

Time for the Big Speech

Lots of People to Thank

Our MD Matt Mavir got up to give a speech which rivalled Churchill’s ‘we will fight them on the beaches’. Okay maybe it wasn’t quite that level, but it was pretty good. Matt thanked every group of people in turn for being there (as it’s the people that make the business), with particularly touching moments being when he thanked his Dad for the £300 to set up the Last Night of Freedom website domain, and his wife for being his rock and supporting him through everything.

The Buffet is Officially Open

Tequila for All

With the speech done, it was time to par-tay! The buffet was officially open with our very own ‘buffet boys’ Drew and Paul handing around tasty nibbles such as sliders, fries, gyoza, samosas and more. There was also a ton of tequila floating around, as well as all of the complimentary prosecco, this is where the night started to get a little hazy for some of us. We also handed our Last Night of Freedom branded flip flops for those of us that couldn’t handle our high heels any longer.

The After Party

More Tequila

After a few hours we headed to our after-party venue, the one and only Filthy’s. Found in the legendary Bigg Market, Filthy’s has multiple levels and live music. Here we got tanked up on vodka, tequila, beer and prosecco, so the night started to get even more blurry.

All Good Things Come to an End

A Cracking Night All Round

We finished the night as any good night in Newcastle finishes, staggering through Bigg Market with the sun about to rise. It was a thoroughly cracking night that was a good example of how we like to play as hard as we work.

Here’s to the next twenty-five years!
