LNOF Celebrates Living Wage Commitment

2014 was an outstanding year for us. We moved to a brand-spanking new office by the beautiful Quayside (terribly high-brow of us, we know), doubled our staff members from 23 to 46 and acquired new content, marketing and digital departments.

Due to this vast growth, we now find ourselves in the position to show our gratitude to our employees and commit to the Living Wage foundation from here on in.

Our Head Honcho, Matt Mavir, said: ‘We are delighted to be supporting the Living Wage commitment. All of the staff at Last Night of Freedom work extremely hard and we want to ensure that everybody feels that their efforts and commitment are highly valued. We achieved great growth across the business in 2014, and this has given us a great opportunity for us to show our appreciation to our staff through the implementation of the Living Wage.’

Everyone hard at work

This commitment to this foundation will see everyone working at LNOF HQ receive an hourly wage of £9 (significantly higher than the national minimum wage), regardless of whether they are permanent or temporary employees.

The Living Wage Foundation Director, Rhys Moore, said: ‘We are delighted to welcome Last Night of Freedom to the Living Wage movement as an accredited employer. The best employers are voluntarily signing up to pay the Living Wage now. The Living Wage is a robust calculation that reflects the real cost of living, rewarding a hard day’s work with a fair day’s pay.’

Couldn't have put it better ourselves.
