After a busy few days at the World Travel Market, on 8th November we threw the biggest party of 2017 (actual fact). We got suited and booted and descended upon Tiger Tiger in Piccadilly Circus, to host our Supplier Awards Night (read: p*ss up).
There were photographs taken and interviews conducted throughout the night, plenty butlers in the buff and bunny girls topping up our drinks (that’ll explain the state of us the morning after), a mobile glitter bar make-up artist, a beer pong area, wall-to-wall fancy dress props, inflatables and some seriously prestigious awards to dish out.
After we’d all had a good few drinks, our MD, Matt, took to the stage to give a huge shout out to all of our suppliers, and to announce the winners of each category. Drum roll please. First up, our Five Year Award was accepted by Merlijn Boshuizen, on behalf of Plan A, for their fantastic services in Amsterdam. Another of our Five Year Awards was given to LBC Baltic, who, unfortunately couldn’t make it on the night, but we made sure to have a drink (or seven) on their behalf.
Secondly, it was with great pleasure that we accepted three suppliers into our renowned ‘X Club’, for 10 outstanding years of service. First was Ricky Pascual (our very own Master of Marbella) from Solisol Travel.
The second recipient of the X Club award was Mark Buchanan from The Spain Event, who has provided continually excellent service for over a decade.
And lastly, the final X Club award went to Stag Republic, collected by Josey Walker and Paul Kamondy. Always going that extra mile and working hard to meet changing demands and opportunities, these three are all truly worthy winners. Here’s to the next 10 years, guys.
The competition for the next award was pretty stiff, but it was with great delight that we announced Barcelona de Noche the winner of our Best Newcomer Award. Accepted by the lovely Jorge Fernandez, the company’s enthusiasm and organisation continue to excel, day in, day out. From our very first meeting, we’ve seen them rapidly develop into the impressive company that they are today.
Finally, our Outstanding Achievement Awards were graciously accepted by Stag Republic’s Josey Walker and Paul Kamondy. We consistently receive awesome customer feedback about these two and they are truly a pleasure to work with. Plus, they own their own strip club – what’s not to love? After the awards, it would be a lie to say that our memories of the night didn’t become a little bit hazy, but how we felt the next morning definitely told us that we had an epic night celebrating the very best in stag and hen suppliers across the world. We’re counting down the days ‘til next year already…
