New Prague Pub Crawl rules from Oct 2024

Everything you need to know (don’t worry, your group will still be welcome)

BUILD YOUR PRAGUE WEEKEND

Planning a Stag Do in Prague?? If so, you might have seen that as of October 2024 the City is planning to ban (some) pub/bar crawls. Our experts have answered all of your burning questions on the subject below. Officials have issued a statement on banning pub crawls. This is a bid to deter rowdy tourists planning on boozy trips from travelling to the Czech capital and disturbing the locals.

Given Prague’s popularity with stags (it is currently one of our top 10 most popular stag do destinations), Last Night of Freedom has created a handy Q&A guide filled with everything you and your group will need to know about bar crawls in Prague.

Are stag parties banned in Prague?

No. The city officials have only mentioned new restrictions on organised bar crawls in the city. The mention of stag and hen groups is just an example of the types of people on these big crawls. You won’t need to worry about traveling to Prague as a stag group. Just be a decent human being and you’ll be sound.

Are organised bar crawls banned?

Nope. You can still go on an organised pub/bar crawl in Prague. In fact, it’s a great way to get to know the city as well as supporting local businesses. Provided it’s finished by 22:00 and you dont have a stag or hen group of more than 100 you’re good to go.

What are the new restrictions?

Organised bar crawls won’t be allowed to take place between 22:00 and 06:00 local time in the city of Prague. The city has also stated that this is targeted at big drunken crowds in the city centre, so a smaller group (under 100) won’t be a problem.

Should I let this put me off picking Prague for my stag or hen do?

No, absolutely not. Prague is one of the party capitals of the world and a restriction banning bar crawls of 100+ people isn't going to change that. The beer here is incredibly cheap and the atmosphere is unmatched. That's not to mention the epic range of activities you can do. Prague is still very much a top pick for stags and hens.

Conclusion

So, all in all, bar crawls aren’t fully banned! You are free to go bar to bar with a guide up until 22:00 local time, where they will leave you at a top nightclub. Just follow local law and be a nice person and you’ll have a fab time in the Czech capital.
