Escape to the North Pennines with this luxury retreat

If you fancy escaping to the country, then it doesn’t get better than this. With space for up to eighteen guests, this luxurious property can be found in heart of the North Pennines in a 'Designated Dark Sky Discovery Site' boasting spectacular views over reservoirs and secluded moors. There are eight bedrooms in total, that are just oozing with rustic glamour, and five of these have ensuite bathrooms.

It gets better, there’s an outdoor hot tub, which is the perfect place for making a toast, as well as a 100-inch cinema screen with surround sound system (perfect for a movie night!!), a PlayStation 5 with a selection of games, a bar area and a games room with pool and darts.

You’ve also got a lovely living area with comfy sofas and a fully equipped kitchen. There's unlimited free wi-fi throughout the property and also open fires. You have everything you need for a comfortable and stylish stay, plus the most gorgeous countryside surrounding the house. It’s perfect for enjoying some fresh air or as an ace backdrop to your pictures.

There’s a wealth of nature to explore right on your doorstep. Here you are a twenty-five minutes’ drive from the stunning market town of Barnard Castle. Barnard Castle has a big Morrisons to stock up on groceries and plenty of nice bars and restaurants to check out. Blackton Grange is 52.1 miles from Newcastle.

Security Bond

Per group bond – card only - £500.00

A group security bond of £500.00 will be requested upon check-in. This will be refunded upon departure provided there is no damage to property and all house rules have been adhered to.

Payment can be made by pre-authorisation on a card. Please be aware pre-authorisations will take 3-5 working days to be credited back to your account.

Please Note: LNOF do not hold any influence over security bonds and the decision to charge this and the amount requested is completely at the discretion of the accommodation provider.

A 20% per group non refundable deposit is required to book this accommodation.

There is a 2 night minimum stay on a weekend, arriving Friday or Saturday night.

Property Restrictions

  • Whilst reasonable numbers of visiting guests are allowed, additional overnight guests are not. The cottage occupancy limits are clear on the website. This could invalidate our insurance.
  • Guests who invite visitors who have dogs, must check with us first. Any visiting dogs must abide by our Doggy Code of Conduct and no more than two dogs are allowed on site at any time.
  • Guests who invite visitors to come and join them during the day are not entitled to use the hot and cold tub unless explicit permission has been granted. A couple of guests is normally acceptable.
  • Please do not move items & furniture that are for internal use outdoors.
  • No use of cellotape, Bluetack or drawing pins permitted on any walls, ceilings or furniture
  • Under no circumstances are you to bring electrical appliances to Blackton Grange, other than laptops, phone chargers and hair straighteners / curlers without explicit written permission. This includes air conditioning units. Guest appliances have not been PAT tested and could invalidate our insurance. We will levy a charge if we find they have been operating without consent.
  • Fireworks, Chinese Lanterns, firepits and portable BBQ’s are explicitly forbidden at Blackton Grange. The whole surrounding area has protected wildlife & livestock on many fields surrounding Blackton Grange
  • No wipes, sanitary products, cotton wool or miscellaneous items to be flushed down the toilet. Use the bins provided for any waste expect toilet roll.
  • Electric Vehicle charging is not included in the price. If used, you pay for this yourself upon use of the facility.
  • No outdoor footwear to be worn in the house.
