Lisbon is known for being easy on the wallet, so if you’re looking for a stag do abroad but you’re not feeling flush enough for some of the more exotic of our locations, Lisbon could be the place for you. We have a range of accommodation types to suit every budget, although let’s face it, in Lisbon you’ll not be out of pocket even if you go luxury.
How’s this for starters: a quirky, stylish four-star experience for the price of a budget hotel? All located at the top end of Lisbon’s most fashionable shopping street? Your wish is our command. Hotel Florida has a vintage cinema theme in all its rooms and common areas, including Alfred Hitchcock and Marilyn Monroe themed rooms, and guess what? It’s cheap as chips.Popular with our customers, Jorge V Hotel is a mid-range option that nestles you right next to the stylish shopping street of Avenida de Liberdade, close to all of Lisbon’s main attractions. In a similar area, the Clarion Suites are another customer favourite. They offer the best of both worlds – hotel facilities including a bar and swimming pool, so you can really revel in those holiday vibes, along with the independence of apartment accommodation, where you can prepare your own meals or keep a few beers cold in the fridge to enjoy before heading out for your big night.
Lisbon hotels are spacious and comfortableWhen is a hostel not a hostel? When it’s the Independente Hostel and Suites. Lisbon will surprise you in many ways, none more so than this gem, which offers beautiful, stylish suites for those with cash to spend or clean and comfortable dormitories, for those on a budget. The hostel has an on-site bar with its own beer garden and a restaurant serving a breakfast buffet every morning, and the icing on the cake? It’s based at the border of the trendy Bairro Alto district, Lisbon’s pulsing nightlife capital.
Another top choice of hostel is the Golden Tram 242. Located in the heart of Baixa, or downtown, Lisbon, the hostel has fantastic public transport links and is within easy reach of both the coast, and the Bairro Alto district, which is only an 8 minute walk away.
Hotel Jorgev is central and secureThe hostel offers a free breakfast, perfect for helping you recover the morning after the night before, and as an added bonus features live music and dancing in its lounge bar on weekends.
Lisbon has a number of districts, each with their own distinct flavour and style, so whether you want to be right at the centre of the action, in bohemian nightlife capital Bairro Alto, or prefer some distance once you’ve partied your hardest, we can advise you on the best accommodation for your party. It’s likely that you’ll need to employ some form of transportation unless you’re one of those fit bod types who likes to walk everywhere, but the public transport system in Lisbon is excellent so getting around needn’t cost an arm and a leg once you’ve had enough of the hardcore nightlife and are ready to hit the hay.
Lisbon is a thriving capital city and tourist hot spot, so regardless of what time of year you plan your stag do, the likelihood is it will be busy. Don’t worry, as here at LNOF we have reserved room allocation in all of our hotels, apartments and hostels, so you should still be able to book on your preferred weekend. One particularly busy weekend in Lisbon is the NOS Alive Festival, when the city fills up with alternative music fans, so if you’re concerned your chosen weekend might clash with that – it usually takes place in July – do check with your LNOF sales rep and they will try and ensure you avoid any potential clashes.
