LNOF Guide to Belfast
Belfast can throw a party like no other.
Belfast stag weekends mean great craic, copious amounts of laughter, blurry walks between nightclubs and takeaways, tremendous live music options, recuperative cafes, stylish stores and friendly locals. We had a fantastic time when LNOF visited Belfast in 2023 to do a spot of product testing. This is a vibrant community of many cultures - a large city with a communal town feel. Its more recent history is well documented, and there’s a serious desire to party that’s ideal for stag weekends.
There are some great beer gardens from which to sit and soak up the city, as well as many huge packed sports dens or bustling beer halls, but, whichever watering holes you spend your time in - the friendliness of the locals will make your weekend particularly special. Belfast folk respect dry, gentle humour, and respond positively to any good-natured group of fun-seekers choosing to celebrate in their backyard. If you're preparing to join them, we toast your good taste.
Belfast nightlife is fantastic, especially Alibi Club. Next time I go over to Belfast, I want to do the Game of Thrones tour. It looks so cool.

This is a city that possesses a wonderful mix of humour and pride, and one that can now boast swanky show bars, strip clubs and suave super clubs to go with its more earthy inns and traditional pubs. It's a city with more than a few great restaurants, important art and confident architecture, Capuccino-loving cafebars and splendid live music offerings. As far as irish stag weekends go, Belfast is right up there with Cork, Galway and even Dublin.
On a Thursday, Friday or Saturday, most nightclubs open until just after 2am. If you want to know about the attitude to drinking in this city, take note of the local saying: "The craic is 90". Actually, they might be being modest there - make that 95.
