Experience a true, Irish tradition and get involved with the ancient Irish sports that make up the Gaelic games. These action-packed games are a collection of sports that are widely popular, and the crowds often outnumber those for footy and rugby.
The games include: Gaelic football (a sort of mixture of rugby, basketball and football), Gaelic Handball (like squash or Fives) and Hurling (a cross between hockey, cricket and an egg & spoon race).
The games are proudly amateur (good job) and the shirts do not display the names of the players. In fact, all players, managers and coaches of the Gaelic games are unpaid (maybe not your next career move…). You don't have to be the world's best athlete to compete, just up for a downright hilarious afternoon. The centre is located around 10 minutes from the centre of Dublin in an active Gaelic club, and your coach will teach you everything you need to know about the ancient Gaelic games.
