LNOF's Managing Director

Dear Customers,

I’m writing to you during what has been, for many of us, the toughest time of our lives. Not only has this thrown all of our personal and professional lives in to a state of chaos but, if you’re reading this, you’ve also had the added pressure of having a wedding and stag or hen do to organise. If this is the case I’m genuinely sorry you’ve been affected by this – planning events like this is hard enough at the best of times but to do so during a Coronavirus must be very upsetting and beyond stressful.

Last time I updated you – LNOF were right in the midst of the chaos caused by lock-down. We had thousands of groups all directly affected. Initially it proved to be very challenging to deal with everything but I’m very grateful to our skeleton crew (all working from home and co-coordinating everything via Zoom) that were eventually able to get back on top of things. Response times are picking up and I’m pleased to say that we have now brought some more staff back to start putting together quotes for those of you looking to ahead to the future.

What has been very heartening about this situation is how many of our customers have chosen to postpone their weekend rather than cancelling. This is so important not just for LNOF but for our whole supply chain – it’s helping protect jobs in bars, restaurants, hotels and across the whole of the travel industry.

In the last few weeks we have begun to see increase in enquiry levels and are starting to see a growing stream of bookings for 2021. Things are starting to look much more positive and we are certainly moving in the right direction. We’re hopeful we can open the office in the next month and get back to doing what we do best. If you’re one of the groups that chose to postpone your booking rather than cancel then you’re one of the reasons we’re able to be here and we owe you a debt of gratitude. On behalf of our suppliers and everyone at LNOF I’d like to thank you from the bottom of our hearts – it means a huge amount to us to have your backing and we can’t wait for things to get back on track so we can give you a last night of freedom to remember.

I’ll be back in touch with further updates but in the meantime please stay safe.

All the best.

Matt

Managing Director - Last Night of Freedom

About the Author

Matt is a keen rugby player, no doubt partly due to his Australian birth, and a mean table football adversary. Like the shark in his favourite movie "Jaws", Mavir is a rare species in the world - someone who attempts to put reputation before earning a fast buck. Unlike the infamous predator, he is not mechanically operated and has never bitten anyone's head off. Mind you, he was rather firm with someone caught trying to pinch his parking spot at Tesco's last week! Matt likes to unwind by curling up in a good carpet every now and again, and, as point of principle, never pays less than £50 for a cab ride home. Stunningly handsome.
