LNOF Turns 20

1st November 2019

It’s been quite a ride these past two decades. We’ve travelled the world setting up packages from Marbella to the North Pole and organised over 25,000 weekends. We’ve also employed 87 members of staff, seen 19 babies born, 13 weddings and one enigmatic mascot (RIP Denzil).

EST. in 1999, Last Night of Freedom is turning 20, so let’s take a trip down memory lane…

We’ve Organised A LOT of Weekends

25,000 weekends

Over the past 20 years, we’ve hosted 25,000 weekends of a lifetime, branching out from your standard night on the Toon to more exotic locations and evolving from a few bevs down the pub to axe throwing, spa experiences and even adventure expeditions.

That many weekends means a lot of people management and to date, our talented team have hosted unforgettable trips for over 300,000 people - that’s enough to fill St James’ Park nearly six times over!

Office Space, Greggs and the X-Club

Movers and Shakers

Thankfully our team of 30 don’t need to work from Matt’s student digs anymore, we’ve actually moved offices seven times in our history as we’ve grown. The one thing in common with each office though? They have almost always been next to a Greggs… howay man, we are Geordies!

We’ve had a few gooduns in our time who have stuck with us throughout the years and we even have a club for them. Our X-Club celebrates staff who have been with us for 10 years of more and currently averages an impressive 110 combined years at LNOF from the 10 members.

Hot Off the Press

Making headlines

Being the fabulous brainy bunch that we are, it’s no wonder the press are hounding us. We’ve been covered everywhere from the BBC, Forbes, CNN, the Guardian, LadBible, the list goes on…

We love nattering to journos and Matt has even been interviewed as an ‘expert’ on more than one occasion… Who thought that was a good idea? He even appeared on Channel 4’s “Holiday Maker” which is now part of the GCSE syllabus for Leisure and Tourism.

5-Star Reviews

We know we’re a great bunch, but it’s nice to be recognised from time to time. The team work really hard to provide the best service possible and we treat each and every weekend like it’s our own mate’s Last Night of Freedom.

That’s why it’s so important to us that we’ve amassed over 1,750 Trustpilot reviews, commending our excellent customer service and brilliant products. Keep up the good work!

We’re quality checked

Ok, so this one might not set your world on fire, but we protect your funds with a Client Funds Trust Account (CFTA) and it’s a bloody big deal. This way we can ensure your payments are all held in an independently administered trust account until after your event is complete and that way we can you can be sure your cash is fully protected, so it’s all good.

Living Wage

We’re a supportive bunch

2014 marked a big year for Last Night of Freedom. We moved to our swanky offices on the Gateshead quayside, created entire new departments and became committed to the Living Wage Foundation . This commitment sees everyone at LNOF HQ receive a minimum hourly wage of £9 in 2019, regardless of age.

Come Fly with Me

Jet setters

Over the last 20 years, we have branched out significantly with the locations we offer. Tentatively building from our hometoon, the reigning stag and hen capital of the UK, to over 70 locations worldwide, including some rather unusual ones such as the North Pole, Bethlehem and Space. Yep, you read that right, we can send you to space.

We’re constantly innovating the services we provide and we make sure that we go out and test as many locations, services and products as possible – booze, strippers, the lot. It’s a tough life, but someone’s got to do it.

Shop til’ You Drop

30,000 orders

Our online store has grown massively in the past two decades (Amazon who?) and we now fulfil over 30,000 orders a year to make sure our stag and hens look their best on their wild weekends.

Some of our products can be quite niche (the rainbow willy piñatas for example) but all of them are fun and designed to provide that humorous edge to any weekend.

Some Epic Supplier Parties

Super suppliers

LNOF have been arranging the world's best stag and hen parties for two decades now, so what better way to say thank you to our suppliers for helping us achieve this than by throwing the mother of all fiestas?

We wouldn’t be where we are today without them, so we make sure they know how loved they are by hosting our legendary suppliers parties, each year from 2017, 2018 and 2019 which took place in our very own backyard of Newcastle, so was an extra special celebration.
