Yes, the bars may be open till the early hours in the morning in Dublin, but at some point you’re going to need to get some shut eye and it can be tricky figuring out where to stay, especially when you’ve got a bigger group. It will depend on where you want to stay in the city, what your budget is and whether you just want somewhere simple to get your head down for the night or a boujee hotel with spa facilities.
We have almost 20 different hotels and hostels available in Dublin so we’re sure to have somewhere that meets your group's needs. We have accommodation all over the city centre from ones that are clustered around Temple Bar, to ones that are right on the nightclub laden Harcourt Street, to ones that are just north of the River Liffey. We have several hostels like , midrange 3-star hotels like the Belvedere Hotel and classy 4-star hotels like to choose from so there’s something for everyone.
Once you’ve managed to pin down your accommodation, make sure to check out the range of exciting stag activities that Dublin has to offer. Plus, you can check out our super handy Stag Do Guide to Dublin for more information on well... everything.... from nightlife to hotels to activities to getting around the city.
Almost all of our accommodation is located centrally, but we’ve picked out a few that are particularly close to Temple Bar and Harcourt Street . These hotels will mean you’re within literal stumbling distance of the city’s main drinking/party areas. You can check out our handy map feature at the top of the page to see exactly where all of the accommodation is.
Harcourt Hotel
Located on Harcourt Street, our bestselling hotel is not only a super classy place to stay, but it’s attached to the iconic Dtwo bar and nightclub. This beautiful hotel, set within eight Georgian buildings, has 100 traditional bedrooms and the lush (and fully stocked with alcohol) 1900 restaurant.
Blooms Hotel
Only a 6-minute walk to Temple Bar, this lovely 3-star hotel is a great place to get some well-deserved zzzs after a hard night drinking. The exterior is unmissably colourful, the rooms are comfortable and modern and it’s even got a fantastic Irish bar onsite.
Temple Bar Hotel
As you might have guessed, this hotel is super close to Temple Bar, a 6 minutes’ walk to be exact. This is a really nice 3-star hotel with stylish comfy rooms that will see you surrounded by bars including Buskers on the Ball which is pretty much next door!
Abbey Court Hostel
For a cheaper central option, Abbey Court Hostel is situated just north of the Liffey but is also just an 8 minutes’ walk from Temple Bar. The dorm rooms have bunk beds (meaning no bed sharing) and sleep up to 6 guests.
The Morgan Hotel
Stay right in the heart of Temple Bar in this recently refurbished 4-star hotel. The Morgan Hotel places on the same street as some of the city’s best boozers. The rooms are bright and modern with complimentary high-speed Wi-Fi, a 40-inch SMART LED TV with a Miracast and a Nespresso machine.
If you want to save your money for Guinness, we’ve got several cheaper options available in Dublin. You may wish to stay in a hostel because it’s dead cheap and you can all hangout in the same room without having to share a bed. However, it’s also worth looking into some of the lower range hotels that won’t cost an arm and a leg.
Travelodge Dublin City Centre
If you’re wanting somewhere cheap, but nice, then you can’t go wrong with a Travelodge. Travelodge is welcoming, with super comfortable beds, and has great public transport links meaning you can be at Temple Bar in under 20 minutes.
