With over 18,000 rooms available in Glasgow’s hotels, more than 6,000 of those right in the city centre it’s difficult to know which accommodation option is right for you, don’t worry though because we’ve done the leg work, made the calls, met the hoteliers and checked out the rooms in person (not all 18,000 admittedly, but not far off).
The Jurys Inn Glasgow is our number one option for our groups, slap bang in the middle of the city on the North bank of the river Clyde. This three star hotel is a four minute walk from Glasgow Central train station, a ten minute walk from Merchant City for some more upmarket bars and roughly a twenty minute walk from Sauchiehall Street, great if you like your nightlife on the rowdier side. All rooms in this hotel are en-suite and come with flat screen TVs, complimentary WiFi and 24-hour room service, usually our groups will occupy twin rooms, this is subject to availability though so best to get in touch as soon as possible.
Other four star options in our portfolio include The DoubleTree by Hilton which is another popular option, located slightly to the North of the city centre but still within walking distance of some great nightlife areas. We also offer The Hallmark Hotel, Glasgow Marriot and Hilton Glasgow which are all located within a stone’s throw of each other slightly to the west of the centre, but all within a ten minute walk of Central Station, these are all great quality, tried and tested hotels within reach of some top restaurant and nightlife options.
Luxury accommodation in GlasgowOur 3-star accommodations include the Park Inn by Radisson which is ideally located just off West George Street, giving you an incredible number of bars right on your doorstep. The Mercure hotel is to the East of the city, very close to Merchant City which is a top nightlife area offering a more upmarket experience and the Travelodge Glasgow is just around the corner. If you’re looking for something a bit more relaxing then the Village Hotel is situated to the South of the Clyde on the edge of Festival Park, offering a quieter location and including a spa and a gym, but still within a twenty minute walk of the bustling city centre.
If budget is a priority or if you just want somewhere to get your head down for the night then we do also work with Euro Hostel in Glasgow, located right next to the previously mentioned Jurys Inn. This is a clean, comfy and secure, no frills option.
A hostel is a great option for a large groupProbably not, Glasgow is a fairly compact city and most of our hotel options are within walking distance of the centre, as always this depends on how keen you are to walk and how much time you have to spare.
As previously mentioned there are thousands of hotel rooms available in Glasgow and as such availability is usually pretty good, with a few exceptions. The city plays host to many events over the course of the year from the TRNSMT music festival to the Great Scottish Run, there are also venues such as the SSE Hydro arena which host major music and sporting events which can also see hotels fill up quickly, it’s best to give us a call and check.
